Swimwear Wool 🌊
After two years of pandemic restrictions, brands and designer are trying to explore different solutions to create “special” products, something that is not common to see on the market.
Usually there are fibers and materials that can fit better in different seasons, like wool for winter or linen for summer, but maybe this is just and old vision of materials that could be broken if we use a different mindset and vision on the products.
This is an example from Vilbrequin, one of the most important swimwear traditional brand, that have used wool (active wool) to create a new line of swimwear products.
Basically wool fiber is one of the most sustainable materials on the market, Wool is the original eco-fibre: 100% natural, biodegradable, and completely renewable, with sheep producing new fleece every year. All that’s needed to create this luxurious fabric is sunshine, fresh air, water, and grass.
Ultra-breathable, moisture-wicking, and thermo-regulating, Merino is fast gaining a reputation as a hot-weather hero. 🐑
This is why wool is one of the oldest fiber used to making garments and with the modern technology this fiber have get a completly new level.
